Retaining Wall Rectification,

Rose Bay

Structural repair, reinforcement and waterproofing of an existing retaining wall.

Location:

Rose Bay, NSW

Project Type:

Retaining wall remediation and structural rectification

Completion:

2020

Project Overview

This Rose Bay project involved remedial repair and structural rectification works to an existing retaining wall showing signs of deterioration and instability.

The scope commenced with an assessment of the damaged wall sections to determine the extent of deterioration and the required repair methodology. Defective and deteriorated materials were removed, and affected sections were reconstructed using reinforced masonry and concrete elements.

Structural strengthening works included the installation of reinforcement and localised reconstruction to restore the wall’s stability, durability and load-retaining function.

Waterproofing was applied to the rear face of the retaining wall to reduce moisture penetration and help protect the reconstructed elements from ongoing deterioration.

Finishing works were coordinated with the existing boundary wall, fence panels, columns and surrounding paved areas to maintain visual continuity with the property.

This project forms part of Prudential Construction’s historical portfolio of completed remedial and structural rectification works in Sydney.
