Project Overview

This residential project in The Ponds involved the construction of an extension to an existing dwelling to accommodate the accessibility and mobility requirements of the occupant.

The completed works included a new bedroom, an adjoining accessible ensuite and associated internal modifications designed to improve circulation, usability and independent movement throughout the addition.

Wider door openings, clear circulation zones and practical room planning were incorporated to support wheelchair access and everyday use. The ensuite layout, fixtures and fittings were selected to improve safety, manoeuvrability and long-term functionality.

The new addition was integrated with the existing residence through coordinated roof forms, external materials and finishes, maintaining a consistent architectural relationship between the original dwelling and the completed works.
